Why odaban®?
Reliable sweat control: odaban® Gel is specially formulated to effectively stop excessive sweating on hands and feet. This keeps your hands and feet dry and fresh, no matter how stressful your day is.
Daily protection: The antiperspirant Deo Stick is your daily companion, protecting you from underarm wetness and odour, even on sensitive skin.
No unpleasant odour: Body odour occurs when bacteria on the skin break down sweat. Odaban Gel prevents this by stopping sweat in its tracks. No sweat means no odour!
Important: Allow the gel to fully absorb before putting on clothing, as applying it too soon may cause staining.

Where odaban® can be applied
odaban® gel can be applied to the entire body. It is particularly effective on sweaty hands, feet, and the face.
Where can the antiperspirant be applied?
Where can the antiperspirant be applied?
The odaban® antiperspirant can be applied to the entire body. It must not come into contact with mucous membranes. It is important that odaban® antiperspirant is always applied immediately before going to bed and only to perfectly dry skin, regardless of the area of the body.
Once initial protection has been established – usually after three to five applications – the odaban® antiperspirant should only be used as needed (once or twice a week).
Application of odaban® antiperspirant on the scalp
Application of odaban® antiperspirant on the scalp
You can also use odaban® antiperspirant on the face without any issues. However, it should not be applied to irritated or inflamed skin. When used on the face, odaban® should also be applied in the evening only. A pea-sized amount is sufficient per area of the body. Please wash the treated areas normally the following morning.
For facial use, applying odaban® twice a week is usually sufficient, or as needed. Never treat the entire scalp with odaban®; only apply it to specific affected areas, as sweating also has a cooling function.
For sensitive skin, we recommend testing odaban® antiperspirant on a small area before applying it more extensively.
Use of odaban® antiperspirant during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Use of odaban® antiperspirant during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Odaban® antiperspirant is a ‘cosmetic product’. By law, cosmetic products must always be safe – including for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Before its launch in Germany, odaban® underwent several safety assessments, all of which were positive. Therefore, you can use odaban® antiperspirant during pregnancy and breastfeeding without concern.
When not to use odaban® antiperspirant
When not to use odaban® antiperspirant
An antiperspirant should not be applied during the day. This is because increased sweating occurs during daytime, causing the active ingredient, aluminium chloride, to react with water and form by-products that may lead to skin irritation. Daytime application should therefore be avoided.
It is also not recommended to apply an antiperspirant immediately after freshly shaving the underarms, as this can create tiny skin surface injuries, which may result in irritation when the antiperspirant is applied.
Things to avoid when applying odaban® antiperspirant
Things to avoid when applying odaban® antiperspirant
A very important aspect when using odaban® antiperspirant is that the skin must be completely dry at the time of application. There should be no remaining moisture in the underarm. If there is any residual moisture, the product cannot work optimally, and it may cause skin irritation, itching, or stinging.
Many first-time users of odaban® antiperspirant often find that they are still slightly sweaty in the evening, meaning a small amount of residual moisture is difficult to avoid. We therefore recommend applying odaban® antiperspirant just before going to bed and drying the underarms beforehand with a little talcum powder or a hairdryer. This ensures that no residual moisture remains in the underarms.
Another common mistake is using too much antiperspirant per application. A pea-sized amount per hand, foot, or face is sufficient. For sensitive skin, we recommend applying the product using a cotton pad or cosmetic pad. Please wash off any product residue the following morning.
Once initial protection has been established, odaban® antiperspirant should only be used once or twice a week. Overuse can reduce effectiveness because excessive application can completely block the sweat gland openings. Sweat that builds up behind the blockage can eventually break through, leading to increased sweating again.
If this occurs, odaban® antiperspirant should not be used for approximately two to three weeks. After this break, its effectiveness will return to the initial level.
This way, odaban® remains a highly effective and safe product for long-term use.

Occasionally, the odaban® antiperspirant causes a rash for me. What am I doing wrong?
Occasionally, the odaban® antiperspirant causes a rash for me. What am I doing wrong?
odaban® antiperspirant contains a special combination of protective silicone and other highly purified ingredients that help prevent skin irritation. A skin rash is almost certainly caused by applying too much of the product or by the skin not being completely dry at the time of application. Always remember: press the spray only once per use, as a single spray is entirely sufficient.
Are there independent proofs of odaban®’s effectiveness?
Are there independent proofs of odaban®’s effectiveness?
The effectiveness of odaban® antiperspirant has been tested and confirmed by a dermatological institute. In the study, participants—each experiencing increased perspiration—applied odaban® antiperspirant once daily in the evening to one underarm over several days. The other underarm remained untreated and served as the control.
Result: After just three days of use, participants showed a reduction in sweat production of up to 90%, with the average reduction at around 71%.

You can spray odaban® antiperspirant directly onto the scalp or massage in the gel. However, always treat only individual areas of skin and do not spray the entire scalp at once. Part the hair if necessary, spray odaban® antiperspirant, and massage it in with your fingertips. odaban® antiperspirant does not cause hair discoloration or hair loss. Keep your eyes closed and use only small amounts when spraying.
Can I safely use odaban® antiperspirant on my entire body?
Can I safely use odaban® antiperspirant on my entire body?
Yes. For each area of skin, you only need as much odaban® antiperspirant as is dispensed with a single press. Apply it thinly using a cosmetic pad (makeup removal pads work well for this). This allows easy treatment of the face and other sensitive areas, such as the groin or under the breasts. Make sure the skin is completely dry at the time of application. After showering or bathing, wait about 30–45 minutes before applying odaban® antiperspirant.
Can antiperspirants cause breast cancer?
Can antiperspirants cause breast cancer?
No, there is no scientific evidence that using antiperspirants increases the risk of breast cancer. Major health organizations, such as the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and the American Cancer Society, see no established link between aluminium salts in antiperspirants and the development of breast cancer. Current studies provide no reliable indication that aluminium in antiperspirants causes or promotes cancer.
