Why odaban® Spray?
Reliable sweat control: For decades, odaban® Spray has been the trusted choice of dermatologists and pharmacists for excessive sweating.
odaban® can be applied to the entire body. However, it should not come into contact with mucous membranes.
No unpleasant odor: Body odor develops when bacteria on the skin decompose sweat. odaban® Spray prevents this by inhibiting the flow of sweat. No sweat means no odor!
Please note that you should allow the spray to absorb completely before putting on clothes, as otherwise discoloration may occur.
Application tips
Application tips
Application is very simple.
When to apply: Apply odaban® in the evening, just before going to bed, so it can work optimally overnight.
Preparing the skin: Make sure the area of skin you want to treat is completely dry. Any remaining moisture can reduce effectiveness and may cause skin irritation. If needed, you can use a hairdryer on a low setting to dry the area.
Dosage: Less is more. One spray per underarm/skin area is sufficient. Excessive use may irritate the skin. It’s best to spray onto a cotton pad and gently dab onto the skin.

Less sweating – more vitality
Why odaban® works better than regular deodorants
A regular deodorant masks unpleasant sweat odour with perfume. Odaban® effectively prevents sweat formation, leaving no breeding ground for bacteria to cause the typical sweat smell.
Odaban® Spray is the superhero against sweating

Where odaban® can be applied
odaban® spray can be applied to the entire body. It is particularly effective for sweaty underarms, hands, feet, and the face.
Where can the antiperspirant be used?
Where can the antiperspirant be used?
The odaban® antiperspirant can be used on the entire body. It should not come into contact with mucous membranes. It is important that the odaban antiperspirant—regardless of the area of the body it is applied to—is always applied immediately before going to bed and only to perfectly dry skin. Once an initial level of protection has been established, which usually occurs after three to five applications, the odaban antiperspirant should only be used as needed (once or twice a week).
Applying the odaban ®antiperspirant to the head
Applying the odaban ®antiperspirant to the head
You can also use the odaban® antiperspirant on your face. This is not a problem. It should´nt be applied to irritated or inflamed skin. Odaban® should also be applied to the face only in the evening. A pea-sized amount is sufficient for each area of the body. Please wash the treated skin normally the next morning. For use on the face, applying it twice per week is usually enough, or as needed.
Please never treat the entire head with odaban®, only the specific areas affected, as sweat also serves an important cooling function. For sensitive skin, we recommend testing the odaban antiperspirant on a small area first before applying it more broadly.
Using the odaban® antiperspirant during pregnancy or while breastfeeding
Using the odaban® antiperspirant during pregnancy or while breastfeeding
Odaban® antiperspirant is a “cosmetic product”. By law, cosmetic products must always be safe—also for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Before being introduced to the German market, odaban underwent several safety assessments, all of which were positive. You can therefore use the odaban® antiperspirant without concern during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
When you should not use the odaban® antiperspirant Spray & Gel
When you should not use the odaban® antiperspirant Spray & Gel
An antiperspirant should not be used during the day. The simple reason is that sweating increases during the day. As a result, the active ingredient, aluminium chloride, reacts with water to form a by-product, which can cause unpleasant skin irritation. Therefore, daytime use should be avoided. It is also not advisable to apply an antiperspirant immediately after freshly shaving the underarms, as this can create very small skin injuries and may lead to skin irritation after application.
What should be avoided when using the odaban® antiperspirant?
What should be avoided when using the odaban® antiperspirant?
A very important aspect when using the odaban® antiperspirant is that the skin must be completely dry at the time of application. There must be no residual moisture in the underarms. If any moisture remains, the product cannot work optimally, and it may cause skin irritation, itching, or burning.
Many first-time users often still sweat slightly in the evening, making some residual moisture unavoidable. In this case, we recommend applying odaban® antiperspirant just before bedtime and drying the underarms beforehand with a little talcum powder or a hairdryer to ensure no moisture remains.
Another common mistake is applying too much of the antiperspirant. A pea-sized amount per hand, foot, or face is sufficient. For sensitive skin, it is recommended to apply the product with a cotton or cosmetic pad. Any product residue should be washed off normally the next morning.
Once an “initial protection” is established, odaban® antiperspirant should only be used once or twice a week. It should not be applied too frequently, as overuse can reduce its effectiveness. Frequent application can completely “block” the sweat gland openings, and the accumulated sweat may eventually break through the blockage, leading to increased sweating.
If this occurs, odaban® should not be used for about two to three weeks. After this break, its effectiveness will return to the initial level.
This ensures that odaban® remains a highly effective and safe product for a long time.
Safety / Harmlessness
Safety / Harmlessness
Safety of odaban® now confirmed by the BfR (Federal Institute for Risk Assessment)
Who hasn’t heard the recurring debate about aluminium in antiperspirants? From time to time, consumers are confronted with negative headlines suggesting a possible link between aluminium in antiperspirants and an increased risk of breast cancer or Alzheimer’s disease.
The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) published a reassessment of aluminium-containing antiperspirants in 2020, concluding that, based on current scientific knowledge, health impairments from regular use of ACH-containing antiperspirants are unlikely.
The odaban®-effect
This effect is created through the astringency—that is, the “tightening” action—of the ingredient aluminium chloride. Overnight, it combines with the protein on the skin’s surface to form an insoluble and inactive compound that partially blocks the openings of the sweat ducts like a plug. The treated area of skin can be washed the next morning without losing odaban®’s protection, which continues to last for several days.
The aluminium–protein complex formed is so insoluble that absolutely no absorption of aluminium into the body occurs. Therefore, odaban® is completely safe even for long-term use.

What can I do if odaban® does not help during the initial application period?
Before some users are able to get their severe “sweating problem” under control, it may be necessary to apply the odaban antiperspirant every evening for several weeks. Once the initial regulation of sweat flow has been achieved, using the antiperspirant once or twice a week is usually sufficient.

Occasionally, odaban® antiperspirant causes a rash for me. What am I doing wrong?
Occasionally, odaban® antiperspirant causes a rash for me. What am I doing wrong?
Odaban® antiperspirant contains a special blend of protective silicone and other pure ingredients that help prevent skin irritation. A rash is most likely caused by applying too much of the antiperspirant or by not having completely dry skin at the time of application. Always remember: only one spray per application is enough.
