For optimal results: Apply the Gel or Spray in the evening before bedtime on completely dry skin. It is recommended to dab it on gently with a cotton pad.
Regular use: Consistent application enhances the sweat-reducing effect. Sweat levels are individual – with odaban® Gel, you can find the exact amount needed to control your sweat flow. Usually, just a small amount is sufficient.
Wipes: For best results, apply to clean, dry, and non-irritated skin before bedtime. Allow a short moment to absorb before contact with clothing. Use on 3–4 consecutive evenings. Once the desired effect is achieved, you can pause the application.
Regular use for wipes: The wipe can be used anytime during the day as needed. Simply remove the odaban® anti-sweat wipe from its sachet and apply it to the desired area.

odaban® antiperspirant can be applied to the entire body. It must not come into contact with mucous membranes. It is important that odaban® antiperspirant is always applied immediately before going to bed and to perfectly dry skin, regardless of the area of the body. Once an initial level of protection has been established – usually after three to five applications – odaban antiperspirant should only be used as needed (once or twice a week).

You can also use odaban® antiperspirant on the face. This is not a problem. It should only not be applied to irritated or inflamed skin. Odaban® should also be applied to the face only in the evening. A pea-sized amount is sufficient for each area. Please wash the treated skin areas as normal the next morning. When used on the face, applying it twice a week is usually enough, or as needed.
Never treat the entire head with odaban®, but only the individual affected areas, as sweat also serves a cooling function. For sensitive skin, we recommend testing odaban® antiperspirant on a small area first before applying it more widely.

Before its launch in Germany, odaban® underwent several safety assessments, all of which were positive. Therefore, you can use odaban® antiperspirant during pregnancy and breastfeeding without concern.

An antiperspirant should not be applied during the day. The simple reason is that sweating increases during the day. As a result, the active ingredient aluminium chloride reacts with water to form a by-product, which can cause unpleasant skin irritation. Therefore, daytime use should be avoided. It is also not advisable to apply an antiperspirant immediately after freshly shaving the armpits, as this can cause very small injuries to the skin surface and may lead to skin irritation after application.

A very important aspect when using odaban® antiperspirant is that the skin must be completely dry at the time of application. There must be no residual moisture in the armpits. If there is still moisture, the product’s effectiveness cannot fully develop, and residual moisture can also cause skin irritation, itching, or burning. Many first-time users of odaban® antiperspirant often experience slight sweating in the evening, meaning some residual moisture is unavoidable. In this case, we recommend applying odaban® antiperspirant immediately before going to bed and drying the armpits beforehand with a little talcum powder or a hairdryer. This ensures that no residual moisture remains in the armpits.
Another common mistake is applying too much odaban® antiperspirant per application. A pea-sized amount is sufficient for each hand, foot, or face. For sensitive skin, we recommend using a cotton or cosmetic pad. Any product residue should be washed off as usual the next morning.
Once an initial level of protection has been established, odaban® antiperspirant should only be used once or twice per week. It should not be applied too frequently, as overuse can prevent the spray from achieving the desired effect. This is because excessive use can completely ‘block’ the sweat gland openings. Sweat that accumulates behind the blockage will eventually break through, leading to increased sweating again.
If this occurs, odaban® antiperspirant should not be used for about two to three weeks. After this break, the product’s effectiveness will return to its initial level. This ensures that odaban remains a highly effective and safe product for a long time.
