Show us your feet, show us your shoes

Tip 1: It depends on the right shoe material
Sweaty feet are an uncomfortable thing, no matter what the weather. It is not only the sweating itself that is perceived as unpleasant, but also the well-known "cheese foot smell". A horror show for women and men. On hot days, it is therefore essential to ensure that the shoe material is breathable in order to prevent sweating as effectively as possible. The breathable material ensures good air circulation and is therefore able to transport enough fresh air into the shoe. This creates a cooling effect that can prevent unnecessary sweating and annoying odours.

Tip 2: Less sweating thanks to effective antiperspirants
It may be that breathable materials alone do not prevent feet from sweating in midsummer. But even at lower temperatures, some people sweat heavily on their feet. In both cases, the motto is: no need to panic. There is help here too. If your feet don't stop sweating despite wearing the right footwear, it's a good idea to try an antiperspirant. This causes the sweat pores on the feet to narrow and less sweat to escape.

But an antiperspirant for feet? This may sound strange to many people, because when they think of heavy sweating and antiperspirants, they tend to think of the armpit area. Nevertheless, there are also antiperspirants that can be used all over the body, i.e. also when the feet sweat heavily. And that makes perfect sense when you consider how many sweat glands people have on their feet.

So if you want to be sure that your feet stay as dry as possible even in midsummer, you should simply try an antiperspirant.

Tip 3: A powder for feet and shoes
Yes, that exists too. Used alongside an antiperspirant or on its own, a foot and shoe powder helps create a germ-free environment inside the shoe. Although the powder itself does not reduce foot perspiration, its antibacterial, germ-reducing effect ensures a neutral smell for both feet and shoes. It is therefore the perfect product for anyone who is tired of dealing with smelly feet and shoes.

It is important to always treat the shoes as well when dealing with sweaty feet and unpleasant foot odour! The reason: when our feet sweat, the moisture inevitably seeps into the material of the shoe. Only when bacteria break down the fresh sweat does the so-called “cheese smell” develop. So it is not enough to treat only the feet. Those who treat just their feet and then slip back into their favourite shoes will not get rid of the cheesy smell, because the bacteria responsible for the unpleasant odour are still present inside the shoe. This is why using an antibacterial shoe powder is essential.

Conclusion: Sweaty feet are an unpleasant issue. But with the right care, a powder or an antiperspirant can help effectively. Then you can finally enjoy strolling through the city, sitting in your favourite café or walking barefoot through the park again.
