The safety of odaban® has now been confirmed by the BfR (German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment).
Who doesn't know the recurring debate about aluminum in antiperspirants? At regular intervals, consumers are confronted with negative headlines that suggest an alleged connection between aluminum in antiperspirants and an increasing risk of developing breast cancer or Alzheimer's disease.
The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has now published a new assessment of antiperspirants containing aluminum from 2020, which comes to the conclusion that, based on current scientific knowledge, health impairments from the regular use of antiperspirants containing ACH are unlikely.

The effectiveness of the odaban® antiperspirant is certified by a dermatological institute been tested and proven. The subjects, who all suffered from increased sweat production, were treated with odaban® antiperspirant once a day in the evening for 3 days. The other axilla was left untreated throughout the trial and served as a control. After just 3 days of use, the test persons showed a reduction in the amount of sweat of up to 90%, with the average sweat reduction being around 71%. odaban® is very well tolerated when used correctly and is sold worldwide with a 60-day money-back guarantee, which is usually dealt with directly with the customer in the event of a claim.

Do you suffer from unwanted sweating?
Why odaban® works better than conventional deodorants
A conventional deodorant covers the unpleasant smell of sweat with perfume.
odaban® effectively prevents sweating. This means that bacteria have no breeding ground to cause the typical smell of sweat.
Where odaban® can be used
The odaban antiperspirant can be used all over the body. It must not come into contact with mucous membranes. It is important that the odaban antiperspirant, regardless of which part of the body it is applied to, is always applied immediately before going to bed and on perfectly dry skin. As soon as initial protection has built up, which is usually the case after three to five uses, the odaban antiperspirant should only be used as needed (once or twice a week).
You can also use the odaban antiperspirant on your face. This is not a problem. Odaban should not be used on irritated or irritated skin. odaban antiperspirant was originally only developed for the armpit and foot area. In the course of time, however, a wide variety of areas of application have emerged. We have many customers who use odaban very successfully on their faces. odaban should also only be applied in the evening when used on the face. Please never spray directly into the face, but always apply odaban with the help of a cotton or cosmetic pad (1-2 sprays are sufficient). Please wash the treated skin areas normally the next morning. For use on the face, it is usually sufficient to use it once a week or as needed. Please never treat the entire head with odaban, but only individual affected skin areas, since sweat also has a cooling function. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend testing the odaban antiperspirant on a small area before applying it over a large area.
The odaban antiperspirant is a "cosmetic product". According to the law, cosmetic products must always be safe. Also for expectant and nursing mothers. Before it was launched in Germany, odaban was subjected to several safety assessments, all of which were positive. You can therefore use the odaban antiperspirant without hesitation use during pregnancy and lactation.
An antiperspirant should not be used during the day. The simple reason for this is that we sweat more during the day. As a result, the active ingredient aluminum chloride reacts with water to form a by-product and unpleasant skin irritation can occur. You should therefore refrain from using it during the day. It is also not advisable to use an antiperspirant after you have just shaved your armpits, as this leads to extremely small injuries to the skin's surface and can cause skin irritation after using an antiperspirant.
A very important aspect when using odaban antiperspirant is that the skin must be absolutely dry at the time of application. There must be no residual moisture in the armpits. If there is still residual moisture in the armpits, the product cannot work to its full potential, and the residual moisture can cause skin irritation, itching or burning. Many users who use the odaban antiperspirant for the first time often have the problem that they still sweat a little in the evening, i.e. that a certain residual moisture can hardly be avoided. We recommend using odaban antiperspirant immediately before going to bed and drying your armpits with a little talcum powder or a hairdryer. In this way you can ensure that there is no residual moisture in the armpits.

Frequently asked Questions
FAQ
What options do I have if odaban® does not help in the first application period?
Before some users get their very strong "sweat problem" under control, it is sometimes necessary to apply odaban® antiperspirant every evening for several weeks. It is usually sufficient if you use the antiperspirant once or twice a week after the initial regulation of perspiration.
How long does a 30ml spray last?
Depending on your needs, a 30ml odaban® antiperspirant bottle is sufficient for an application period of approx. 8-12 months.
Occasionally the odaban® antiperspirant triggers a rash in me. What am I doing wrong?
odaban® antiperspirant contains a special composition of protective silicone and other pure ingredients that counteract skin irritation. Rash is almost certainly due to applying too much of the antiperspirant or not having "perfectly" dry skin at the time of application. Always remember: Only press once per application, as a single spray is sufficient.
Is there independent evidence for the effectiveness of odaban®?
The effectiveness of the odaban® antiperspirant has been tested and confirmed by a dermatological institute. One armpit was treated with odaban® antiperspirant once a day in the evening for days on end, all of whom showed increased sweat production. The other armpit remained untreated in the course of the test and served as a control.Result: After just 3 days of use, the subjects showed a reduction in the amount of sweat of up to 90%, with the average sweat reduction being around 71%.
Is odaban® odorless?
The active substances of the odaban® antiperspirant are dissolved in pure alcohol, which evaporates in seconds without leaving a trace of odor.
Is the odaban® antiperspirant helpful for prosthesis wearers?
Due to the reduction in perspiration, odaban® antiperspirant can help prevent painful blistering or inflammation that can often occur when wearing prostheses. If the preparation is used together with a "protective sock", the skin remains in optimal condition.
Does the odaban® antiperspirant also help if you sweat on your face?
The odaban® antiperspirant also helps with excessive sweat production on the face. To do this, we recommend spraying the antiperspirant onto a cotton or cosmetic pad and dabbing it onto the appropriate areas of the face.
Is the odaban® antiperspirant suitable for all skin types?
Even people with sensitive skin who normally have an allergic reaction to other antiperspirants can use the odaban® antiperspirant.
Can stopping the flow of sweat be harmful to your health?
It is not harmful to regulate the sweating of the affected parts of the body. In order to cool the body, sweat is excreted through many other parts of the body.
Can you use a "normal" deodorant in addition to the odaban® antiperspirant?
Yes, you can put on a "normal" deodorant in the morning. This is not a problem.
Can I shave my armpits before using the odaban® antiperspirant?
It is not recommended to shave the armpits immediately before or after applying the odaban® antiperspirant. We recommend not shaving the skin areas to be sprayed 24 hours before and after the application
Can I safely use odaban® antiperspirant on the scalp?
You can spray the odaban® antiperspirant directly onto the scalp. Please note, however, that you only treat individual skin areas and do not spray the entire scalp at the same time, for example. Part your hair if necessary, spray on odaban® antiperspirant and massage in with your fingertips. odaban® antiperspirant does not cause hair to discolor or cause hair loss. Keep your eyes closed and use small amounts when spraying.
Can I safely use the odaban® antiperspirant on the whole body?
Yes. You only need as much of the odaban® antiperspirant for each skin area as is sprayed out with a single squeeze. Apply thinly with a cosmetic pad (makeup remover pads work well for this). In this way, the face and other sensitive skin areas, such as the groin or the area under the breasts, can be easily treated. Note that the skin must be "perfectly" dry at the time of application. You should therefore wait about 30-45 minutes after showering or bathing before applying the odaban® antiperspirant.
Can I use the odaban® antiperspirant while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes. odaban® antiperspirant acts only on the surface of the skin and is not absorbed into the bloodstream.
